Welcome to the website for Nottingham Group RDA.

 

 

 

We are a happy and friendly group based at Lings Lane Riding Stables in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire on Thursdays,  where we provide riding lessons for  children.

 

We hire our fabulous pony friends from the venue where we meet but we have our own tack and equipment. Riding takes place in an outdoor all-weather arena and along adjoining bridleways and in fields so our riders experience the magic of the countryside.                                                                                               

We are all dedicated volunteers and we come in all shapes and sizes, ages and backgrounds but we pride ourselves that we work well as a happy and successful team to provide our riders with the opportunity to ride to benefit their health and well being, and to achieve their goals.  

Through their riding sessions, our riders can improve their confidence, balance, co-ordination and concentration leading to greater independence and self-esteem. Working with the ponies and the volunteers helps the riders develop their social and communication skills whilst all the time having FUN!

Like all RDA groups, we are a charity run by a committee of group trustees and rely on fund raising and donations for running the group and buying equipment. We are very grateful to all our supporters without whom our work could not continue.
